CORN SILK TINCTURE FOR BEDWETTING AND URINARY TRACT ISSUES

Corn Silk tinctures sooth inflammation in the bladder and urinary tract and coats the lining of the urethra. The tinctures or teas can help to strengthen the urinary system as a whole and is effectively used to prevent bedwetting in children and incontinence in older people. Because it is a diuretic it is used during the day and stopped 4-5 hours before bedtime.

The Corn Silk tinctures help most cases or incontinence, but it is important to keep in mind that bedwetting has many causes, such as stress, medical issues, diet or allergies.  So, if the tincture doesn’t work after a few weeks, I suggest seeking medical advice and exploring other causes.

Corn Silk tinctures and teas have anti-inflammatory properties that can be used to treat urinary infections, cystitis and prostatitis by soothing and strengthening the urinary tract and kidneys.

Adding Oregon Grape Root to the Corn Silk tincture is beneficial in treating urinary tract infections due to its antimicrobial properties. The root contains berberine, a plant-based antibacterial that can fight infections by preventing bacteria from attaching to host cells. Berberine has been shown to be effective against E. coli and Proteus species, which can cause bladder infections

Corn Silk with Saw Palmetto helps reduce prostate inflammation and can help with pain while urinating.

Corn Silk combined with Marshmallow Root may help with passing kidney stones.  Some people take corn silk to help reduce incidents of flare ups while figuring out what the triggers are causing the stones. Diet and/or stress can be triggers for some people.

Corn Silk with Yarrow would be used for cystitis. Yarrow is a good urinary antiseptic. Most tinctures can be added to teas or other beverages to make them more palatable, but this one is best used cool rather than hot because the diuretic properties are diminished when heated.

All of the problems I’ve mentioned here should be taken seriously and should be handled by a professional who understands your medical history.  Make sure they are aware of any home remedies you are using or have used to treat your symptoms.   If you are already taking a diuretic, you should not take any Corn Silk products.  Contact your doctor if you have blood in your urine or develop lower back pain.

The Corn Silk Tincture, as well as Yarrow, Oregon Grape Root, Marshmallow Root and Saw Palmetto Tinctures are available on my website Hootnnannyholler.com or upon request.
